Daniel Gros
Daniel Gros (* 1955 ) is a German economist and political scientist .
Life
Daniel Gros attended the University of Rome with a Masters degree in Economics. This was followed by studies in the United States, where he attended the University of Chicago his MA and in 1984 the Ph.D. acquired.
He heads the Center for European Policy Studies (CEPS), a think tank . He had already worked for the CEPS from 1986 to 1988 and has been employed there continuously since 1990. His research focus is EU economic policy , in particular the effect of the euro on capital and labor markets, as well as the international role of the euro, especially in Central and Eastern Europe. He also observes the transition to market economies and the process of EU enlargement to the east.
