financing

CEPS is funded from a variety of sources. In 2009, CEPS had an income of around 6.7 million euros. Part of this amount can be attributed to the increasing number of EU treaties that CEPS has coordinated in recent years. The income from CEPS 'own research has grown steadily in recent years. 27% of CEPS 'income comes from membership fees, mainly from larger commercial companies. The remaining income is generated through various projects:

  • 36% of project contracts awarded to CEPS, tendered by EU institutions and national governments (on the basis of competition),
  • 22% from private organizations and
  • 8% from foundations.
  • 7% by organizing events.
