Paul De Grauwe

Paul De Grauwe (born July 18, 1946 in Ukkel ) is professor of international economics at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and the LSE , as well as a politician of the Belgian OpenVLD . He is a Senior Research Fellow at the European think tank Center for European Policy Studies . His research focus is the European Monetary Union . In 2016 he was elected a member of the Academia Europaea . He is an honorary doctor from the University of St. Gallen and the University of Genoa.
