Daniel Hulet

Daniel Hulet (born August 25, 1945 in Etterbeek ; † September 9, 2011 in Ostend ) was a Belgian comic artist .

life and career

Daniel Hulet, born in Etterbeek in 1945, published in the comic magazine Tintin from 1975 . On the basis of texts by the author André-Paul Duchâteau , he drew the series Pharaon for ZACK from 1980 , followed in 1985 by the series Der Weg zum Ruhm with the copywriter Jan Bucquoy.

In his works, Daniel Hulet shows different realities, he plays with the possibilities of reality. In the Immondys series , which was published in a square format, the panels are partially upside down or arranged like a spiral, which requires turning the album and enhances the effect of the surrealist drawings.

Daniel Hulet died on September 9, 2011 at the age of 66.
