Daniel Jiménez
Daniel Jiménez (* 21st November 1969 in Camuy , Puerto Rico ) is a former Puerto Rican boxer in Superbantam- and bantamweight .

On June 6, 1988, he made his professional debut and lost by classic knockout in round 3. On June 9, 1993, he was super bantamweight champion of the WBO when he defeated Duke McKenzie by majority decision. He was able to defend this belt four times and lost it at the end of March 1995 against Marco Antonio Barrera unanimously on points.
After this defeat, he switched to bantamweight and boxed in this weight class in the same year against Alfred Kotey for the WBO World Championship. Jimenez won this battle on points and thus captured the title. The following year he defended this belt against Drew Docherty and lost it to Robbie Regan
In 2002 he ended his career.
