Daniel Kapp

Daniel Kapp (born April 28, 1968 in Kigali , Rwanda) is an entrepreneur and communications expert. Between 2000 and 2011, Kapp was press spokesman for various Austrian government members, most recently for Finance Minister Josef Pröll .

First he worked in the Agriculture and Environment Minister for Wilhelm Molterer and from 2003 for Josef Pröll (both ÖVP ), whom he followed in 2008 to the Ministry of Finance . After Josef Pröll's resignation, Kapp also withdrew from politics. and worked as a director in the Vienna office of the British strategy consultancy Brunswick Group LLP. Today he works as an independent consultant in Vienna. With over ten years in various spokesman functions, Kapp was the longest-serving press spokesman for the Austrian federal government.

Kapp, who is the same age as Pröll, is still regarded as his close confidante. His mother is the human rights activist and Burma expert Miriam Kapp, his father was a diplomat in the German Foreign Office. Kapp is also a former board member of the Austrian-Israeli Society.
