Daniel da Silva (born May 27, 1973 in São Paulo ) is a former Brazilian soccer player who played an international match for the Brazilian national soccer team in 2002 .

Career

The 1.89 meter tall defender began his career in 1995 with SE Matonense . His next stop was União São João , where he played ten league games and scored one goal. From 1996 to 1997 he was in the squad of FC Santos and was used in nine league games. The following year he was loaned to the Japanese club Tokyo Verdy .

In 1999 he signed a contract with AD São Caetano , with which he first played in the B series . In 2001 he and his team were promoted to the Série A , in the promotion season Daniel played 22 league games and scored one goal. The next year he played 17 league games and scored twice in goal. In his last year he came again to four missions. After he was on the pitch for São Caetano over 50 times, he moved to Palmeiras São Paulo , where he was under contract for three seasons.

In his first year he made 15 goalless league games. His most successful season was in 2005, in which he played 32 league games and scored seven goals. In Daniel's last season in 2006 he played another twelve league games and scored two goals.

In 2007 he signed another contract with AD São Caetano , where he played five league games in the second division without scoring. After the season, Daniel da Silva ended his active career.
