Daniela Jasper (* 1971 ) is a German extreme mountaineer . She has become known nationwide through her first ascent in the Alps.

Life

Jasper grew up in Weil am Rhein and started climbing at the age of 16. In the meantime she has made a name for herself as an extreme mountaineer. You climbed the Eiger north face on four different routes. Together with her husband and rope partner Robert Jasper, she was the first to master the “Symphonie de Liberté”, a direttissima through the north face of the Eiger (8a).

Jasper lives with her husband and two children in Schopfheim in the southern Black Forest. The teacher works full-time as a professional mountaineer and finances her mountain company through motivational lectures. She was one of the leading actresses in the IMAX film Die Alpen .

  • Daniela Jasper climbed the 10- / 8a level of difficulty on various routes.
  • In the alpine mixed climbing area she is on the way up to difficulty level M8.
  • In 1997, Robert and Daniela Jasper climbed the modern “free” mixed grade M8- on Mont Blanc du Tacul for the first time in Alpine history with the 450 m route Vol de Nuit .

  • In 1999 Robert and Daniela Jasper opened the first route on the Eiger with Symphonie de liberté in difficulty level X- / 8a through one of the three great north faces of the Alps.
  • From 2003-2005 she climbed the Heckmair route in the Eiger north face for the IMAX film The Alps with Robert Jasper and John Harlin II.
