Daniela Kohl (born April 21, 1972 in Munich ) is a German children's book illustrator .

Life

Daniela Kohl was born on April 21, 1972 in Munich. She studied drawing and design at the Free Art Workshop in Munich and communication design at the Munich University of Applied Sciences. Then she worked for a short time in an advertising agency. Since 2001 she has lived in Munich as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer.

In 2012 she published the first volume of the Mein Lotta-Leben series at Arena Verlag together with the writer Alice Pantermüller . This series of girls' books appears in 18 countries, is on the bestseller lists and was filmed in 2019.

In 2020, the children's crime thriller Die Barfuß-Gang and the stolen grandma , which Daniela Kohl created together with the writer Jörg Steinleitner , was released.

Daniela Kohl also makes exhibitions as an artist, including in art treatment in Munich.
