Daniele Russo (born November 3, 1985 ) is a Swiss-Italian football player who is under contract with FC Winterthur in the Challenge League .

Career

Daniele Russo played in the junior teams of Team Ticino U-18 and FC Lugano before he started playing in the first team there from 2005. After his contract was not renewed in the summer of 2007, he found a new club with FC Mendrisio-Stabio , with whom he played the second half of the 2008 season. This was followed by the change within the 1st division to FC Chiasso, with which Russo achieved promotion to the Challenge League . In 2012 he moved to AC Bellinzona before returning to FC Lugano for six months during the winter break.

In the summer of 2013 Daniele Russo was signed by FC St. Gallen . He made his debut in the first team at the cup game against FC Schönbühl. Before joining the championship, he played his first UEFA Europa League game away against Swansea City . He made his debut in the Raiffeisen Super League against FC Basel.

On July 20, 2016, his move to FC Winterthur in the Challenge League was announced, where he played 18 games (0 goals).
