Danny Green (actor)

Danny Green (born May 26, 1903 in London , † 1973 ) was a British actor.

life and career

Danny Green would probably have been completely forgotten if he had not played the role of the simple-minded gangster "Pancake" (in the original "One-Round") in Alexander Mackendrick's black comedy Ladykillers at the side of Alec Guinness . Otherwise, because of his beefy stature, he was usually committed to the role of the dumb henchman. Green's career in the British and American acting business extended from 1929 to around 80 film and television appearances in the following 40 years, where he rarely got beyond minor supporting roles. In 1969 he ended his acting career and died four years later.
