Darchini

Darchini , also Darkimet as the 8th part of the ounce , was an Arabic measure of weight and can be counted as a small measure. It corresponded to the drachma and was widespread in Constantinople , Cyprus , Alexandria , Malta , Sicily and Genoa . The measure was the smaller unit with the different names Rottolo, Rottelo, Rotton, Rotte or Rottel . 96 darchini were in use 1 Rottolo.
