Dario Zanatta (born May 24, 1997 in Victoria ) is a Canadian football player .
Club career
Dario Zanatta was born in 1997 in Victoria , the capital of the Canadian province of British Columbia . He began his soccer career as a child with the Gorge Soccer Association and the Victoria Capitals . From the age of 14, Zanatta played for the Vancouver Whitecaps . After a trial training session with Heart of Midlothian in Edinburgh, Scotland , he received his first professional contract in August 2015. On October 31, 2015, the 18-year-old made his professional debut in the league game against Partick Thistle when he came on for Sam Nicholson . By the end of the 2015/16 season , Zanatta had completed 12 further appearances in the Premiership under Robbie Neilson . With the club's U-20 team, the striker lost the final in the Scottish Youth Cup against FC Motherwell in April 2016 . In September 2016, Zanatta was awarded to the Scottish third division club FC Queen's Park . This was followed by a renewed loan to the third division to the Raith Rovers , and second division Alloa Athletic . In August 2019, he moved to the Scottish second division side Partick Thistle.
