Darkane is a Swedish thrash metal - band , which was founded in the 1998th

history

Christofer Malmström and Peter Wildoer, former members of the dissolved band Agretator, set up a new line-up in 1998. Klas Ideberg on guitar and Jörgen Löfberg on bass completed this. Her first songs were released in 1998 on the WAR dance sampler from her label War Music at the time. In the same year they began with the studio work for the first album, in which the singer Lawrence Mackrory, who had recently joined, took over the vocal part. The album was released in 1999 under the name Rusted Angel and received a lot of attention. After several tours they went back to the studio to record their second album. However, there were difficulties with singer Lawrence Mackrory, who subsequently resigned. Andreas Sydow was found as a replacement, with whom they recorded the second album Insanity . This earned them a contract with Nuclear Blast . The subsequent tour failed and the third album was recorded with the producer Daniel Bergstrand, who had been engaged since Rusted Angel . After that, they toured extensively. In 2005, Layer of Lies was their fourth album. In October 2008 their fifth album Demonic Art was released on Massacre Records . In the summer of 2011, singer Jens Broman dropped out for personal reasons and was replaced by the original front man Lawrence Mackrory.
