Darkseed is a German dark rock band that was founded in 1992 by Stefan Hertrich and Harald Winkler .
history
The band's breakthrough came in 2000 with “Diving Into Darkness”. The music of the six members is a mixture of hard metal riffs with the melancholy sound of a dark Goth song without extensive clichés.
Darkseed headed for the end time - RPG The Fall: Last Days of Gaia the OST for which can be found in the published in 2005 album "Ultimate Darkness". The lyrics are sung in both English and German.
In mid-August 2006, Stefan Hertrich and Martin Motnik left the band. After Stefan Hertrich left, who wrote almost all of the songs himself, the band seemed to be facing its final end. But on June 24, 2008 the official website announced an appearance at the Helion Festival on October 4 in Munich . Former drummer Harald Winkler will appear as the new singer.
On January 2nd, 2012 the band presented their new front man and singer Mike Schmutzer on the official website.
At the end of 2013, although the band was in the songwriting process for the Poison Awaits follow-up album, he surprisingly announced his departure. Time problems were given as the reason. On December 7, 2014, the band posted on their Facebook site that Darkseed would be put on hold until further notice.
