Urbi & Orbi is a joint project of the two German music producers Dave Roth and Frank Ramond , whose name is borrowed from the papal blessing Urbi et orbi .
On the occasion of the election of Joseph Ratzinger to Pope on 19 April 2005 set to music Roth and Ramond with the Berlin singer Buddy by the Bild newspaper embossed headline " We are Pope! “As a dancehall song. The design of the record cover and the associated video clip was done by Peter Burtz , the producer of the Gerd show .
The single was released in early May 2005 and hit the German charts a short time later, with the song Papamobil on the B-side . There were no other publications.
