Three years after it was founded, the loan association for the mayor of Antweiler was renamed the savings and loan association for the mayor of Antweiler , as the savings business was also started from now on.

In 1963 , the bank, now known as Raiffeisenkasse Antweiler , merged with Volksbank Barweiler , which was founded in Barweiler in 1926 as a savings and loan association .

Through further mergers, today's Volksbank RheinAhrEifel emerged from the aforementioned Volksbanks . The Volksbank RheinAhrEifel describes its founding year 1866 after the founding year of the loan association for the mayor of Antweiler .
