Ialtris haetianus ( Syn. : Darlingtonia haetiana ) is a snake within the snakes (Colubridae). Their distribution is limited to the southern mountain ranges of the island of Hispaniola and thus to Haiti and the southwest of the Dominican Republic . It occurs here in the mountain forests at an altitude of 300 to 1710 meters.

With a total length of about 31 cm, the snake is one of the smaller species of the Dipsadinae Hispaniolas. It is non-toxic and its diet is highly specialized in hunting Antilles whistling frogs ( Eleutherodactylus ). In gastric examinations of 131 individuals of the species, 97.8% of the diet consisted of these frogs in all stages of development. Eight different species of frogs were identified. Otherwise, next to nothing is known about their way of life.
