Darwin plaque
The Darwin Plaque is an award for evolutionary research that was given to 18 scientists by the Leopoldina in 1959 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Origin of Species by Charles Darwin . After that, a Darwin plaque was awarded again for the first time in 2009, to Svante Pääbo .
