The Kosmos Forest and Forest Lexicon

The Kosmos Wald- und Forstlexikon is a reference work especially on the topics of silviculture and forestry . The dictionary , which has been published in various editions by the Stuttgart Kosmos-Verlag since 1998 , was written by the forester Reinhold Erlbeck , the hunter and journalist Ilse Haseder and the graduate administrator Gerhard Stinglwagner .

In its fourth edition, the lexicon , which weighed more than three kilograms and weighed more than three kilograms with more than 16,000 key words, included the current forest vocabulary as well as numerous historical terms and definitions as well as local animal and plant names.
