When the twins Oliver and Jessica Pollock come back from summer camp, the police are standing at their door looking for their father. In addition, an important statue from the Pergamon Museum in Berlin is missing and since Thomas Pollock, the father, worked as a night watchman in this museum, suspicion falls on him. However, the two cannot remember their father at all, even though they are aware that every child has parents. The twins decide to look for him and discover Thomas's diary in addition to old photos in the attic . It says that he suspects that Xexano, the ruler of lost memories , will return to earth to steal people's memories. So he wouldSeize world domination . The siblings suspect that Xexano has kidnapped their father and discover another clue in the diary, because the gate to Quassinja, the world of lost memories, is said to be a Babylonian gate in the museum. The two decide that Jessica should stay behind to search for more Babylonian sources and the secret of Xexanos, while Oliver travels to the "parallel world". There he experiences many adventures and faces many difficult obstacles. But he also finds friends who help him. The two are very pressed for time as more and more people lose their memories in the “real world”. In the end, however, Oliver and Jessica manage to free Thomas Pollock and thwart Xexano's plan to rule over earth.
