content
Janine Majowski can consider herself lucky. Because she has a job as a cashier at Penny . From the meager salary, she still has to feed her unemployed boyfriend and also her little brother, who threatens her to punish her if she doesn't pull the money. In addition, her mother has cancer and her father is a total care case.
Somehow it all works until Janine becomes pregnant and also decides to keep the child. So she becomes an unemployed, single mother of a disabled child who has a lot of trouble with her family. It's going to be a lot more unbearable than it sounds: Janine's life is a bad movie. At least that's the feeling Janine has. And Janine almost wouldn't have gotten the curve if it hadn't been for Johannes, a modern Prince Charming and an experienced media person who feels the enormous potential that lies dormant in this touching life story, because a lot of money can be made from bad times and sad fates. He promises to make Janine a rich woman overnight with a fundraiser. This is how Janine's incredible journey to the top begins ...
reception
The Berlin snout rules on stage. Schlager, rock and gospel songs for clarinet, bass and saxophone provide the right swing and are ideal for the turbulent spectacle . The musical, which was subtitled by Lund as a social comedy with music , tells a modern fairy tale and, as "a real Berlin musical" , quickly became a "cult piece" that takes Neukölln's social problems seriously and whose trademark is aimed directly at the pain point Is related to the present. As a limitless mix of styles, Das Wunder von Neukölln set the standard that has been valid since then for German music theater 'from below' and invented the new genre of social comedy .
