Peer Augustinski plays the role of the head of a musicians' pension that suffers from a lack of staff. He has to represent the other servants such as page, hotel doctor, cook and kitchen boy in different roles with different disguises. He is supported by the permanent actors Senta ( Margit Geißler ) and Fräulein Kauzig ( Herta Worell ). Guest roles included Horst Jankowski , Paul Kuhn , Günter Noris , Peter Schiff , Hubert Suschka and Elisabeth Volkmann . There are comedic entanglements in every episode.

The 13 episodes of 25 minutes each have been broadcast on ZDF on Wednesdays at 6:20 p.m. since February 10 . In 1983 they were repeated on Tuesdays at 5:50 p.m.
