Dashni Murad
Dashni Murad ( Kurdish دەشنێ موراد, Arabic دشني مراد; * January 1, 1986 in Sulaimaniyya ) is a Dutch singer, model and TV presenter of Kurdish - Lebanese descent.
She emigrated with her parents from Iraq to the Netherlands between the ages of 9 and 10 . Murad was u. a. through the moderation of the program The Dashni Show , a talk show in which women were openly discussed, in particular taboo topics such as love relationships and sex. In allusion to the singer Shakira - especially her erotic choreography - Dashni Murad is also called Kurdish Shakira . She hopes to be able to convey western values to the Kurdish youth through her dance.
