Dauphin County Law Library

The Dauphin County Law Library is a library located in Harrisburg, in Dauphin County , Pennsylvania . It is located in the Dauphin County Courthouse . It is open to the public on working days from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. however, it is available 24/7 to all Pennsylvania licensed attorneys.

The library was founded in 1865 by the Pennsylvania General Assembly established to serve as a basis for legal research and legal scholars to serve training. The library collects works on case and law of the state of Pennsylvania and decisions of the federal courts of the United States of America . The decisions and opinions of the judges of the Dauphin County Court are also compiled here. In the good times there were 47,000 media in it, now there are only 35,000. The library publishes a legal journal with the Dauphin County Reporter .

It moved to its current location after the Dauphin County Court was built in 1947 .
