Dave Hemingway
David Robert "Dave" Hemingway (born September 20, 1960 in Hull ) is an English musician.
He was a drummer in the Housemartins before with Paul Heaton , the band The Beautiful South founded, where he acted as a lead singer. In 2006 he released his first solo album entitled "Hello Cruel World" as a download only via iTunes.
Since the beginning of 2009 he has been playing again with seven of the former members of The Beautiful South under the name "New Beautiful South". In 2010 the name was changed to "The South".
