Dave Weiner

Dave Weiner (born September 24, 1976 ) is an American guitarist who plays as a rhythm guitarist in Steve Vais' band.

Weiner joined Vai's band when he went to GIT in Los Angeles. During his time there, he worked as an office worker. His office manager knew Steve Vai. Weiner brought papers to Vai's house and got to know the guitarist personally. About two weeks later, his boss got a call from Vai and Weiner was offered to come to Vai's studio to learn 14 songs and to tour with him. Weiner plays on both Vais solo tours and group G3 tours .

solo

Weiner released his first solo album in 2004 called Shove the Sun Aside. It was released in June 2004 on the Meyer Jane Music label and was re-released in March 2005 by Favored Nations . It is a purely instrumental album on which Weiner mainly plays a seven-string guitar. Weiner also tours with his own band. Critics describe the solo work as "something new" in the genre of instrumental rock / guitar music.

His new solo album A Collection Of Short Stories: Vol. 1 was released in August 2012.
