David Dobrik

David Julian Dobrik (/ doʊbrɪk /; born July 23, 1996 in Košice , Slovakia ) is a Slovak web video producer . He first gained fame through the video sharing platform Vine , before posting short videos on his YouTube channel in early 2015 . Dobrik has been posting vlogs on his channel regularly since mid-2015. As of August 2020, Dobrik's vlog channel had 18.2 million subscribers and 7.7 billion views.

Earlier life

Dobrik was born on July 23, 1996 in Košice, Slovakia. His family moved to Vernon Hills , Illinois when Dobrik was six years old. He attended Vernon Hills High School, where he played tennis, which led him to qualify for the 2014 Boys' Tennis Tournament, where he won third place in the doubles tournaments. After graduating from high school, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career in Vine.

Private life

Dobrik has three siblings named Ester, Sara and Toby. As a Slovak national who came to the United States as a child and stayed illegally, Dobrik is protected from deportation under the DACA . Dobrik stated in an interview in December 2018 that he is fluent in Slovak.

Dobrik dated YouTube personality Liza Koshy from late 2015 to early 2018 . They announced their split in June 2018. On May 15, 2019, Dobrik lawfully married Lorraine Nash, the mother of his friend Jason Nash , for comedic purposes for one of his vlogs. On November 22, 2019, Dobrik announced the divorce filing via Instagram.
