David F. Larcker

David F. Larcker (born January 11, 1950 ) is an American economist .

Life

Larcker, he studied mechanical engineering and industrial engineering at the University of Missouri (Bachelor, 1972; Master 1974) and made his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Kansas . From 1978 to 1985 he taught at Northwestern University . From 1985 to 2005 he was Ernst & Young Professor of Accounting at the University of Pennsylvania . Since 2005 he has been the James Irvin Miller Professor of Accounting at Stanford University . He is also Morgan Stanley Director of the Center for Leadership Development and Research and the Corporate Governance Research Program. He is on the editorial board of the Journal of Accounting and Economics , Journal of Accounting and Public Policy , Journal of Accounting Research, Accounting, Organizations and Society, and Journal of Applied Corporate Finance .
