Carlos Fernández Carranza (* 20th century) is a former Uruguayan football player .

Fernández Carranza was a member of Peñarol's squad in the Primera División for at least 1957, 1958, 1961 and 1962 , which was coached by Gerardo Spósito , Hugo Bagnulo , Roberto Scarone and Bela Guttman in those years . In 1958, 1961 and 1962 he won three national championship titles with the Aurinegros . In 1961 he secured his club the trophy in his time yet as Copa Campeones de América designated Copa Libertadores . Fernández Carranza was not used. Another title win in 1961 is the World Cup . Fernández Carranzas did not play in the first, second and play-off against Benfica Lisbon either. 1962 was for Peñarol again to participate in the finals of the Copa Campeones de América , in which the Uruguayan club this time, however, ultimately had to give the trophy to the Brazilian representative FC Santos . Fernández Carranza also played the second semi-final game against Nacional when he replaced Ángel Rubén Cabrera after 43 minutes , as did the second final, which ended with a 3-2 away win.

Fernández Carranza took part with the junior national team of Uruguay in the Junior South American Championship in 1958 and won the title with this team. During the tournament he was used by coach Juan Aguilar five times (three goals).
