David Forrest

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

David Forrest is the pseudonym of the English writers David Eliades and Robert Forrest-Webb .

Eliades and Forrest-Webb wrote and published four satirical books together. For example, satirized them the cold war in And my nephew Albert I leave the island, which I took Fatty Hagan at poker and themed this satirically exaggerated in an incredible story, packaged in typical English humor.

Adaptations

The success of Forrest-Webb and Eliades can also be seen in the fact that in 1974, two years after the first edition of After me, the deluge, the Italian writers Pietro Garinei (1919–2006) and Sandro Giovannini (1915–1977) dramatized this work . Under the title Aggiungi un posto a tavola they brought this “rock comedy” to the stage in Italy. In the English translation Beyond the rainbow (created in collaboration with Forrest-Webb and Eliades) the play was also successful in the English-speaking world.

The novel The great dinosaur robbery was filmed by the director Robert Stevenson in 1975 under the title Who stole our dinosaur? ( One of our dinosaurs is missing ) u. a. with Helen Hayes , Derek Nimmo and Peter Ustinov .
