David Hickinbottom is a former British figure skater who started out in ice dancing .

His ice dance partner was Janet Sawbridge . With her he took part in world and European championships from 1963 to 1965 . At European Championships Sawbridge and Hickinbottom won the bronze medal in 1963 and the silver medal in 1964 and 1965 . At world championships they won bronze in 1964 and silver in 1965 behind Eva Romanová and Pavel Roman from Czechoslovakia .
