David Holde

David Holde (born February 1, 1864 in Crossen an der Oder , † 1938 in Berlin ) was a German chemist.

Life

From 1887 to 1917 he headed a department in the State Materials Testing Office in Berlin-Dahlem. From 1898 to 1933 he was an associate professor for chemical technology at the TH Berlin . After the National Socialists came to power, he had to give up his office.

His research area was in particular the chemistry of oils and fats.

Holde was a member of the SPD .
