David Huffman (born May 10, 1945 in Berwyn , Illinois , † February 27, 1985 in San Diego , California ) was an American actor who was active in both cinema and television films and on Broadway. He was married to Phyllis Huffman and was murdered in 1985.

Huffman was murdered by a thief in San Diego. He discovered 16-year-old Genaro Samano Villanueva, who had just broken into a trailer. He chased him to Balboa Park , where Villanueva stabbed him with a screwdriver. In 1986 Villanueva, an illegal immigrant from Mexico , was sentenced to 26 years in prison. Huffman would have starred in the series Torches by Storm a week later . In December 2011, Villanueva was denied a pardon for the next 15 years.
