David Macdonald (Composer II)
David Macdonald (born October 22, 1983 in St. Louis , Missouri ) is an American composer.
Macdonald studied composition and trumpet at the University of Missouri at Columbia until 2006 and continued his composition studies until 2008 with a Master of Music degree from Michigan State University . He then became a composition student and assistant to Ricardo Lorenz . In 2006 he won the BMI Student Composer Awards (with Elegy ), and the following year he won the Michigan State University Honors Competition (with Emulsion Quartet ). The H2 Quartet played their composition Falling up the down escalator on their album Times and Spaces a.
