David Matusiewicz

David Matusiewicz (born March 10, 1984 ) is a German economist and professor of business administration, especially health management, at the FOM University . He is also the dean for the university's health and social affairs department.

Life

David Matusiewicz studied economics with a focus on "Management in Health Care" at the Westphalian University in Gelsenkirchen. From 2008 to 2014 he was a research associate at the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Chair for Medical Management and earned his Dr. rer. medic. During his work as a research assistant and later as a postdoc, the scientist worked in the working groups “Health Economic Evaluation and Health Services Research” and “Health System, Health Policy and Drug Control”. From 2009 to 2017 he worked as a controller for Novitas BKK . Since August 2014 he has been a professor of business administration, especially health management, at the FOM University of Economics and Management.

Research priorities

David Matusiewicz's research focuses on health management or medical management and health economics . There is particular interest in the management areas of financing , controlling and marketing in statutory health insurance and competition in the health sector.
