David McPherson (born August 17, 1960 in South Africa ) is a British show jumper .

Career

McPherson initially rode for various stables in South Africa and represented the country at many tournaments. In 1994 and 1998 he took part in the World Equestrian Games for South Africa, in 1994 he reached 15th place in the individual ranking.

In 2003 he changed nationality and became British. In 2007 he took part in a championship for Great Britain for the first time and reached 14th place in the individual ranking of the European championships with Pilgrim II . Here he also won a medal for the first time at an international championship (third with the team).

David McPherson is married and lives in Kent .

    • 1994, The Hague: 15th place in the individual ranking with Merci Boku and 16th place with the South African team
    • 1998, Rome: with Radames III 84th place in the individual ranking and 19th place with the South African team
    • 2010, Lexington KY : with Chamberlain Z 91st place in the individual ranking and 9th place with the British team
  • European Championships :
    • 2007, Mannheim: with Pilgrim II 14th place in the individual ranking and 3rd place with the British team
