David Moreton, 7th Earl of Ducie

David Leslie Moreton, 7th Earl of Ducie (born September 20, 1951 ) is a British nobleman , politician , landowner and farmer .

Life

He is the eldest son of Basil Moreton, 6th Earl of Ducie and his wife Dorothy Bell. From 1952 he led the courtesy title of Lord Moreton as a probable heir to his father's title .

He was educated at Cheltenham College . Its agricultural studies at Wye College of London University he graduated in 1973 Bachelor of Science from (B.Sc.Ag.).

When his father died in 1991, he inherited his title of nobility as 7th Earl of Ducie , 10th Baron Ducie and 7th Baron Moreton , as well as his lands. A hereditary seat in the House of Lords was associated with the title . In Hansard no parliamentary speeches are recorded by him. He eventually lost his parliamentary seat through the reforms of the House of Lords Act 1999 .

Marriage and offspring

He has been married to Helen Duchesne since 1975. He has two children with her:

  • James Berkeley Moreton, Lord Moreton (* 1981)
  • Lady Claire Alison Moreton (* 1984)
