David Musila

David Musila (born February 24, 1943 ) is a Kenyan politician .

biography

After attending Migwani Primary School from 1950 to 1954 and Kyome Intermediate ( middle school ), he initially worked as a teacher from 1961 to 1965 . He then studied economics at Bishop College in the USA and graduated in 1968 with a Bachelor of Arts (BAEcon.).

Subsequently, he was a district official until 1974 and then from 1975 to 1978 district commissioner. In 1978 he was initially Deputy Provincial Commissioner, before he was Commissioner of the Central Province from 1979 to 1985 . In 1985 he was appointed director of the Kenyan Department of Tourism. This position was retained until 1990.

In 1997 he was elected Member of Parliament for the first time , in which he has since represented the interests of the constituency of Mwingi South . Musila was co-founder and chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party of Kenya (LDP) in 2002 . He is now a member of the Orange Democratic Movement-Kenya (ODM-K) of the current Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka .

In April 2008, Prime Minister Raila Odinga appointed him Deputy Minister for Defense in his cabinet.
