David Oyedepo (born September 27, 1954 in Oshogbo , Nigeria ) is a Nigerian church founder and bishop. He runs the Megachurch Living Faith World Outreach Ministry , which he founded in 1981, with the Winners' Chapel .

Oyedepo studied architecture, but turned to the service of preaching after a vocation experience. He was ordained in the Redeemed Christian Church of God by Enoch Adeboye in 1983, and ordained a bishop five years later . In 1989 he moved his now growing community to the Nigerian capital Lagos and in 1998 moved to Ota in the state of Ogun , where he runs the Canaanland Center . He is part of the Pentecostal Word of Faith Movement .

According to Forbes data, Oyedepo is the richest among Nigeria's numerous evangelical preachers with a net worth of $ 150 million. He owns four private jets and homes in London and the United States. He also owns Dominion Publishing House , a publishing company that sells all of his books. He also founded Covenant University and the Faith Academy, an elite high school. Both institutions also belong to him.
