David Paul Jackson

David Paul Jackson (born September 1, 1951 in Seattle ) is an American Tibetologist .

Life

He received his PhD from the University of Washington in 1985 and studied and translated for many years in Seattle for the Tibetan scholar Dezhung Rinpoche . From 1992 to 2006 he was professor for Tibetology in Hamburg . He is the curator of the Rubin Museum of Art in New York.
