The name of the website refers to the fact that George Orwell was living in Apartment 27b on the sixth floor when he wrote his novel in 1984 . 27bslash6.com contains humorous e-mail correspondence with various people, including an employee of his housing company or a neighbor who was brought in, whose reference to a housewarming party was "incorrectly" understood by Thorne as an invitation.
