Davit Narmania

Davit Narmania ( Georgian დავით ნარმანია ; born March 7, 1979 in Zugdidi ) is a Georgian politician and current mayor of Tbilisi , the capital of Georgia.

Narmania studied economics at the State University of Tbilisi from 1996 and received his doctorate in the same subject in 2005. Since 2001 he has worked as a consultant, among others for Georgian ministries, as well as for several institutes in a leading position. From 2012 to 2014 Narmadia was Minister for Regional Development and Infrastructure in Georgia. In July 2014 he won the mayor's office in Tbilisi as a candidate for the Georgian Dream party alliance with over 72% of the vote .
