Dawit Gabaidze (Georgian: დავით გაბაიძე; born August 10, 1980 in Chulo , Georgia ) is a Georgian politician who was elected Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Adjara Autonomous Republic on November 28, 2016 . Since 2015 he has been an expert for the Assembly of European Regions . He has been a member of the State Constitutional Commission since 2016.

career path

In 2002, D. Gabaidze graduated from Shota Rustaveli State University in Batumi . He is a doctoral candidate at the Law Faculty of Ivane Javakhishvili State University in Tbilisi.

In the period from 2004 to 2005 he passed a qualification examination with a general specialization for lawyers. In 2013 he acquired the qualification of judge with a focus on civil and administrative law. He publishes scientific papers.

He has been involved in teaching since 2002 until today. He conducts seminars in “Administrative and Administrative Procedural Law” at the Shota Rustaveli State University in Batumi, the Batumi Supreme Finance School, and the Batumi branch of Grigol Robaqidze University. 2002–2004 he was a member of the Batumi District Council. Since 2005 he has been a founder and member of the Georgian Bar Association. From 2005 to 2012 he worked as a lawyer.

From 2005 to 2006 he headed the legal department of the legal entity under public law “Beach Park Batumi”. In 2006 he continued his work in the Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. From 2011–2012 he is the coordinator of the law clinic of the Shota Rustaveli State University in Batumi. 2011–2012 he was the arbitrator of the "Permanent Arbitration Court Batumi" GmbH.

In 2012 he worked as a media center mediator at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.

2013-2014 he was the deputy head of the legal department of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara .

2014–2016 he headed the legal and human resources department.

Since 2015 he has been an expert for the Assembly of European Regions .

He has been a member of the state constitutional commission since 2016.

In 2016 he was elected chairman of the Supreme Council of the Adjara Autonomous Republic.
