Day Pond State Park is a state park in the US state of Connecticut in the area of ​​the Colchester township . It includes the area around an old reservoir. Originally the pond was created by the "Day" family to power a sawmill. Today only stone foundations are left of it. The park joins the Salmon River State Forest and offers opportunities for swimming, fishing, picnicking, and hiking. The pond is regularly stocked with trout. The Day Pond Brook flows from the south into the pond and drained to the west, where, after about 2 mi (3 km) in the Salmon River empties.
