It is aimed at self-employed electrical contractors, engineers and planners in electrical and building technology , industrial electricians, electrical specialists in industry, energy supply, in construction and in the public sector, as well as employees from the electrical trade.

The trade journal emerged from the two journals Deutsches Elektrohandwerk and Der Elektromeister , which were merged on January 1, 1971. The new magazine with the title de - der elektromeister + deutsches elektrohandwerk also became the official organ of today's Central Association of German Electrical and Information Technology Crafts (ZVEH). At the beginning of 2001 the magazine was renamed de - Der Elektro- und Gebäudetechniker . Since the middle of May 2013 the magazine has been known under the name de - das elektrohandwerk .

With the de-Fachwissen series , Hüthig GmbH has launched a new book program for electricians, electrical planners and building technicians. The publisher is thus offering a complete range of products for specialist electrical companies.

history

  • In 1926 the magazine Deutsches Elektrohandwerk - DEH was founded as an organ of the ZVEH and some state guild associations with the monthly publication in the publishing house Dr. Alfred Hüthig Verlag, Heidelberg.
  • In 1948 the magazine Der Elektromeister - EM was founded as a newsletter of LIV Bavaria. It appeared from issue 9/48 with the subtitle trade journal for the electrical trade and was at the same time the organ of the state guild association of the electrical trade in Bavaria. It was published fortnightly by Richard Pflaum Verlag, Munich.
  • In 1971 the two magazines merged to form de - der elektromeister + deutsches elektrohandwerk . It is published every fortnight. The new publisher is Hüthig & Pflaum, Munich / Heidelberg, the editorial office is in Munich.
  • 1979 was made during de introducing our practice problems , the reader answered in the first of professionals on two sides trade inquiries. This service was later expanded to 6 pages. Today it comprises 10 printed pages in each issue.
  • In 1990 after the fall of the Berlin Wall, the magazine's sales area was expanded to include the new federal states.
  • In 1998 a second editorial office was set up in Berlin and an Internet presence was created.
  • In 1999 , de was chosen as the best trade association journal from among 600 association journals.
  • In 2001 the magazine was called »de - Der Elektro- und Gebäudetechniker«. In 2012 the magazine was renamed de - ELEKTROTECHNIK GEBÄUDETECHNIK INFORMATIONSTECHNIK . At the same time, the magazine went live with a new online portal “www.elektro.net”.
  • Since 2013 the magazine is called »de - das elektrohandwerk«

Essentially, the two titles Elektropraktiker (Huss-Medien, Berlin) and de (Hüthig, Munich / Heidelberg) share the German-speaking market in the segment of qualified electricians .
