Dean of Arches
The Dean of (the) Arches is the presiding judge of the highest ecclesiastical court of the diocese of Canterbury. This court is commonly known as Arches Court .
The Dean of Arches is appointed by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York . He also chairs the Chancery Court of York , the highest ecclesiastical court in the Diocese of York. He also holds the post of Master of the Faculties .
The position is currently held by Charles George . He replaced Sheila Cameron on May 1, 2009 .
