Deathhammer is the eighth studio album by the Dutch band Asphyx . It was released by Century Media on February 24, 2012 in Europe and on February 28, 2012 in the US.
Origin and style
The album mixes Death and Doom Metal . Some of the slower passages, such as Minefield , have been compared to the style of Martin van Drunen's second volume, Hail of Bullets . Deathhammer was recorded with Harry Wijering at Harrow Studio and The Morser Studio in the Netherlands and mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö . The album artwork comes from Axel Hermann .

Stormbringer.at wrote: “With Deathhammer, Asphyxcertainly meet all expectations and, due to the high level of catchiness in the individual songs, they can probably even exceed them.” Andreas Schulz from Musikreviews.de described Deathhammer as “one of the best Death Metal albums of the last ten years.
