Helmut Pichler
Helmut "Hömerl" Pichler (born July 29, 1947 in Mödling ; † April 6, 2013 ibid.) Was an Austrian musician who was primarily a bass player for No. 1 from the Vienna Woods became famous.
Career
From 1970 he played alongside Peter Schleicher and Hansi Lang in the band Plastic Drug . From 1975 he was bassist with Atlas, in 1976 he founded No. 1 together with Wolfgang Ambros , Peter Schleicher, Helmut "Nockerl" Nowak and Martin Kunz . 1 from the Vienna Woods . 30 years later - in 2006 - Pichler suffered a number of severe strokes , from which he was dependent on a wheelchair from 2008 and had to be cared for around the clock until he finally died on April 6, 2013. He was buried at the Mödling cemetery .
Pichler was involved in various projects as a bass player. He played bass on studio albums by Wilfried , Simone Stelzer , Alexander Bisenz , Rainhard Fendrich and Joesi Prokopetz .
