Deborah Ellis
Deborah Ellis (born August 7, 1960 in Cochrane , Ontario ) is a Canadian author and psychotherapist based in Toronto .
Career
She started writing children's books when she was eleven or twelve . In 1999 she spent many months in Afghan refugee camps in Pakistan . There she interviewed refugees and used this information for her book The Sun on the Face , which was published in 2001.
